The Latest: PWNED!!!!!!!!!!!!

⊆ October 24th, 2008 | ≡ Topic: Political | ˜ No Comments »

Wow here at the Culture of Pwnage we would not be doing out job if we didn’t talk about a historical pwnage event. Ashely Todd a white woman who filed a police report who claimed a Black Man 6″4 robbed her, beat her up, and craved the letter “B” backward in her face because she had a McCain/Palin bumper sticker. See I didn’t get a chance to read the original report so finding this out all at one and being able to read what McCain supporters were saying about Obama is funny and evidence that these people are completely unable to be reasonable. This happened and McCain supporters actually said that it was Obama who was telling the Liberals to attack. You know as if we were the violent ones. It was just slide splitting hilarious to see all these people to see how people made assumptions JUST BECAUSE of these preconceived notions, and because they took this womans word over flaky evidence.

You know what though this is not fair of me to blame all McCain supporters. Nor is it fair for me to have a mini parade in my pants because of the glee I get from seeing people get humble pie stuffed down their throats. I’m also not gonna go as far as some Liberals are going and call her a flat out racist, and ask for her head on a pike. McCain did call this woman and wish her well and it would be unfair of me to call McCain out on his judgment in this case. It could have been politically motivated, as a way to draw attention to this woman and make Obama and his supporters look bad. But in an attempt to meet right wing people half way, I’m going to assume that McCain called this woman because she worked for him, and he believed she was savagely beat and he wanted to make her feel better. Now if anyone has any evidence of another McCain supporter getting into a coma after a car accident and McCain not calling their family then I’m probably wrong that he did this out of the kindness out of his heart.

What I wanted to do is call attention to the right winged hate fest that has been heating up the closer we get to the election. McCain supporters are angry, and I don’t really know why. Obama is an arab? NO and why should that matter? Obama is a terrorist? No Obama wants to destory the country? why? Obama is socialist? what the hell is wrong with socialism? Obama is surrounded by shady people? Aryes has long ago became a respected member of his community, and Wright is no worse than Palin’s preacher, and the preachers than support McCain.

More and more I hear hatefull people getting prime time slots on the news, they have mastered the spin of LEFT is EVIL, SOCIALISM is EVIl, they escape any critisim because they sprinkle a little god in. I agian invite anyone who has opposing veiwing to challenge me in this. I want to know where our fundamental differences are? Am willing to say I’m wrong if you can prove to me I am, but you have to be willing to do the same. And if you do agree with me I invite you to ask questions, and engage me in a conversation about bring the country together both left and right.

The Latest: Fear of Religion

⊆ October 22nd, 2008 | ≡ Topic: Political | ˜ No Comments »

I’ve been following the current political atmosphere lately and it’s hard to ignore the religious over tone that it has. It’s epically pro-Christian and anti-Muslim. As a curious person I’m interested is listening to all sides of the debate, so I watched a little FOX News, and read some of Rush’s transcripts from his show. My mind nearly imploded with the violent and angry nature of these people. Now I’m not assuming all Christians are this way just the ones I saw and heard. My research has brought me to the front of Science vs Christianity debate Intelligent Design , and arguments over the mind and brain. As a matter of fact it lead me to a lot of things, that all seem to be connected by religion.

It’s important to note that I was raised with a deeply catholic Mother, and a Atheist and socialist father. Since then my father has become a Catholic man, and is capitalist complete with his own business. I saw first hand how religion changed my fathers life and made he a much happier and for filled man. Yet despite the strong religious influence in my life I cannot call my self a Catholic or Christian. I cannot a will not align my self with any religion. I have my own set of personal moral and spiritual beliefs and I trust my self to know the difference between right and wrong. I understand the complexity of life to not label everything black or white, right or left.

Well now that you know a little about my background lets talk about what this post is about. My fear of Religion, for far too long extremist has gone too far and have been holding the human species back. They impose their will on the rest, the have divided us and too often have oppressed people. Currently the so called Christian Nation in the United States is oppressing Muslims, it’s soo obvious all you have to do is listen. Since 9/11 all Muslims have been targets as possible Terrorists. As a matter of fact a staggering amount of McCain and Palin voters think Obama is an Arab, and that he is a terrorist who wants to destroy the nation. As a matter of fact the way they do this is cling to flimsy or false evidence and just keep repeating like parrots in order to get their point along. If you disagree they will yell and not allow you to speak as can be seen with Sean Hanniety and Bill O Riley. The number of extremist in this country is staggering, for the Intelligent Design and Evolution debate they advocate choice but for Abortion Right their is none. This not to mention that Intelligent Design has no real serious scientific credibility, and the fact that many people don’t know what a theory is in terms of science.

But you have heard all this before, if your not an extremist you understand the importance of evolution. Heck even the Vatican says that the Evolution is compatible with faith. The fear starts to envelope me when I want to have a debate with someone on the other side. They are so indoctrinated that they refuse engage in debate where they prove their side with the credibility that should be seen in the scientific community.

Unfortunately such a debate won’t happen because if and when they lose they will blame someone. Scientist are anti religion they just want to control everything, or the “liberal” media is controlling the message. As a matter of fact they feel that they are soo right that we are the stupid ones for even questioning them.

Their are people who republican can call democrats stupid who lack common sense, and yet you can hear the same line from the left. I have attempted to move past the sillies of our preconvinced and probably indoctrinated notions of the left or the right.

If I had one wish it would be to talk to someone in a public forum about their believes or their idea of the perfect America. It is my hope with a logical debate that we can come to a consensus, that would benefit everyone and just “your” people. Since I live in the “elitist” New York City, it’s gonna be hard to find someone who I can have this discussion with so I invite the internet to post their comments, and I’d perfer we could be civil.

The Latest: The Meaning of Our Existance?

⊆ July 8th, 2008 | ≡ Topic: Uncategorized | ˜ No Comments »

Those who know me best know that I get lost in my thoughts about the world. I try to project into the future and guesstimate how our civilization will look like and how we will change as people and as a species. A lot of the world still lives in poverty and many even in developed nations go through life from 1 experience to another without much or any thought outside of their internal world. Recently I found a video on ted.com where a woman Jill Bolte Taylor talks about her experience with a stroke she had that affceted a particular part of her brain. Now many people get strokes per year what makes her so interesting? Well whats interesting is that is also a Neurologist and one of the few people who can accurately describe what the sensation was and what it was doing to her brain. It was not a near death experience but something completely different this is why I want to share this with you.

The Latest: Corporate Socialism

⊆ June 12th, 2008 | ≡ Topic: Political | ˜ No Comments »

The government has recently bailed out Bear Sterns from bankruptcy’s and I though something was wrong with that picture. Until a the word Corporate Socialism came to mind. I began to think why was the government helping a company who was going to bail out a company from bankruptcy when we supposed live in a capitalist and free market country. It also came to my attention that this is not the first time the US has done this, and in fact they have done it quite often. I have no idea which political party is responsible but evidence seems to suggest that the Republican party is behind this. The same party that doesn’t lift a single to help out ordinary citizens goes out of it’s way to protect wealthy corporations. Billions of dollars goes to 1 company, but that money isn’t spent to give every American Health Care?

A quick good search Corporate Socialism and I found an article written by Ralph Nader which you can find here. In it Nader defines corporate socialism as “the privatization of profit and the socialization of risks and misconduct”. Which basically means if you make money thats all free market, but if you lose money because of misconduct or risks then the government picks up the bill. This only applies to businesses and is frustrating because if create a multi billion dollar company I have nothing to worry about because the government has my back. But if I have cancer then I better have the money to treat it or DIE.

This makes little common sense so how does the Republican Party plan to fix health care in America? Republican Party wants to leave health care up to the companies, which they hope will be able to reduce the cost of health care. This is admirable but health care in the USA has been free market forever and nothing has changes. It also doesn’t do enough, our health is too important to put any price on. Health Care has to be free, it has to Universal, and we will finance it by eliminating company bail outs, eliminating pork barrel spending, and reducing military spending by 10%. Also if we focus on efficiency and preventative medicine with collaborate world wide effort find cures to diseases then we can enjoy an excellent health care system. Private Insurance companies, and private doctors will still exist as a premium service the same way FedEx is compared to the US Postal Office.
